Last weekend I was in Czech Republic. I visited Telč, Prague and Krumlov. Four beautiful day, but too short. Today I will write you about Telč and first day in Prague. I won`t count Thursday because we arrived in hotel and we just saw Chodov shopping center where we just drank coffee.

Telč was first city that we saw. Little city near river Jihlava situated in south Moravska. The city was established in13th century. The historical center of town is square with the beautiful baroque and renaissance houses. Each house is different color with different finery. When you stand in center of square, next the Kuga fountains, you have feeling like you are on stage of Italian histrionics, because houses were build by Italian renaissance artists. Telč was listed in 1992. on UNESCO`s The world heritage lists. If you decide visit Telč be sure to bring your camera because it is very photogenic.

Next destination was Prague - the old charmer which is the home of the Romanesque and Gothic style, where every building is beautiful in its own way, where in one street you can see all kinds of architecture. To be honest first day I was not impressed. Why? Because we were running 4 hours for tourist guide through the hordes of other tourists who also like to see Hradcany with the Royal palace and with Golden Street. But later everything fell into place and we were seduced by Prague. I recommend that you arrive early in the morning, around 9, in Charles Bridge when there aren`t so many tourists and when you have opportunity to see every statue and take picture of it without million peoples around (like on my photography). Prague has beautiful Jewish quarter in center, near by Wenceslas Square (main square in Prague) in which there are numerous synagogues (the oldest one in Europe) and the Jewish cemetery.

In Prague you will not found caffe bars at every turn, like in Croatia. We stayed in hotel in Quarter Chodov and in our neighborhood there were no coffee bars or markets. What they do when they run out of sugar and they bake cake??? But we all know that Prague is famous for beer and in every corner is pub and almost all offering traditional Czech dishes. Be sure to try the Czech dumplings. I was not thrilled because my Czech side of the family made betters, but even these are not bad. To return to the coffee, or drink it at Starbucks, Costa or in the bars simple order cappuccino or caffe latte because espresso and macchiato are simply bad. If there is a place where macchiato is ok in Prague, please direct me, because I have not found it. When you are in Prague you must try Trdelnik - round cakes, hollow inside, which you can eat empty or filled with Nutella - it´s delicious (has cinnamon in it).

A sad ono najbitnije - shoping.

Now, what is most important - shopping. I recommend you that souvenirs buy at the market in Havelska Street (two blocks away from Wenceslas Square), same souvenirs are cheaper than at souvenir shops. On Wenceslas Square and Na Prikope street you will find high street brands stores (Zara, Forever21 and others). Na Prikope street leading to the shopping center located in the former Soviet barracks where you can find an even larger selection of shops.

Sljedeći put ću vam pisati o tome čime me je Prag osvojio i o Krumlovu, još jednim štičenikom UNESCO-a.

Do sljedećeg posta, ljubim vas...

Next time I will write you about have Prague thrilled me and about beautiful Krumlov.

Till next post from Prague, kisses...
